Why it’s Miss Ashley’s Cash in the Corn

Known by so many as Miss Ashley, some call her Ash, Few call her best friend and I get to call her my sister. Those of you that got to know her will read this and smile because you got to experience her for who she was, for those of you who didn’t get that chance, I want you to know who she was. Ashley was the most loving and caring person you could ever meet, but don’t underestimate the natural born gangster that was in her. She absolutely loved kids and if you messed with any of them, the momma bear came out in her. She had this way about her that it didn’t matter whether she had known you her whole life or if you were the stranger standing in line with her at the gas station, she made you feel like family, she made you feel loved. She was going to school to be a teacher because she truly wanted to make a difference in as many kids lives as possible. Ashley got the taste of drag racing at the outlaw street drags at Hawkeye downs and she was hooked thanks to our step dad Cliff. She was so excited to continue on and try her luck racing at Conesville, she never got that chance but she did however jump in the passenger side and go for rides whenever she got the chance.
